This FREE 8-hour training teaches college students how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care.
This training is for college students only.
This training will require:
- 2 hours of online pre-work to be completed before class
- 6 hours of a virtual training with an instructor
- 2 hours of online post-work to be completed after class
Attendance of the full session is mandatory for certification. Certification lasts for 3 years.
You will receive an email from the Mental Health First Aid platform with your login information to start your pre-work. You will also receive an email from our Mental Health coordinator to help you if you have any questions.
Students will receive a gift card upon completion of the training (as funding allows).
